An imposter amidst my african violets

African violet?

African violet?

I seem to have an imposter among a batch of african violet seedlings. It started off looking exactly the same as the other plants – the first couple of leaves (cotyledonous) looked like typical african violet leaves but then it just shot up. It’s also a little bit hairy so I’m wondering if it’s a gesneriad of some sort. Perhaps it is a wildly different variety that will make my fortune (fat chance). Anyways – I’ll see what he does and of course dear reader, let you know what happens.
